Middle & High Homeschool

Co-op

Wednesdays | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
New Hope West Church, Eugene, OR

The New Hope West Middle & High School Homeschool Co-op is a faith-based learning community for students in grades 6-12. Our goal is to provide discipleship for young leaders in a safe, educational environment that will encourage each student to grow in Christ.

New Hope West Homeschool Co-op exists to support Christian homeschooling families by providing a Christ-centered group learning environment that enriches home education through collaborative classes, discipleship, and social opportunities. Our goal is to honor Christ in all we do as we encourage the next generation of learners and leaders.

Core Values

1. Christ-Centered Education – Jesus is at the heart of everything we do — from academics
to relationships.
2. Parent Partnership – We come alongside homeschool families to enrich, not replace,
home education.
3. Discipleship – Weekly devotions, leadership lessons, and character-building are key parts
of our program.
4. Community & Connection – We foster friendships, support, and joy-filled social
interaction among students.
5. Excellence in Learning – Classes include science, Bible, PE, electives, guest speakers, and
more — all taught with care and creativity.

6. Safety & Stewardship – All adult volunteers must pass a current background check. We
protect physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

What is MPAC?

New Hope Music and Performing Arts Center, or MPAC, as we call it, offers private and group instruction in music, dance, drama, and technical arts.

Our mission is to inspire both young and old, beginner and seasoned, by providing the highest quality of artistic education for each student, giving tailored instruction for their overall success. We are committed to helping you grow and prepare to your fullest potential for whichever level of music you aspire to. More than anything, we aim to open the doors for the gift of music to be enjoyed for life.

In the Spring term, students have the opportunity to take group MPAC lessons of their choice. More information is to come. If you want to learn more about MPAC, please visit nhmpac.com

Can I join mid-semester?

Enrollment typically occurs at the beginning of each semester, but feel free to reach out in
case there’s an opening.

What does my child need to bring each week?

Items to bring each week:

  • Lunch/snack is on own (please bring food and snack)
  • Bible, journal, and pen for devotions
  • Clothes suitable for physical activity and selected electives
  • 1 hours worth of school work or a book to read for study hall
  • Joyful attitude ready to learn and grow in Christ. Let's step out of our comfort zone and expect the best of what Christ has for us!

Items NOT to bring each week:

  • Cell phones. If a student must bring one, it MUST remain in their backpack. Phones seen during co-op will be confiscated and returned to the parent at pickup. (Leaders' numbers will be provided to parents, and students may use leaders' phones to contact parents if needed.)
  • Weapons of any kind (knives, bb guns, etc)
  • Alcohol, drugs, explosives (fireworks, sparklers, lighters, etc)

What curriculum do you use?

We are a faith-based co-op and while we are not providing academic courses since students are all at different levels of education, we will provide leadership training and development, and daily devotions using the S.O.A.P. method.
