Three Keys of Revelation

Scripture

“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Revelation 12:11)

Observation

Three things are working in concert; three keys will open the doors to the Kingdom and bring victory on earth. Here they are:

The Blood of the Lamb
The word of their testimony
They did not love their life even when faced with death

Application

The Blood — My security is in what Jesus has done and in who He is! His blood has delivered me, and I trust in Him alone. Man may fail — even my best friends. But, I will indeed overcome when I constantly recalibrate my security back to Jesus. There, I am satisfied and secure.

Our Testimony — My track record will overcome the Accuser. It is my life, my fruit, and how I have lived. Not that it has been perfect. Far from it. But repentance has become a daily confession as I safeguard my heart from unresolved sin. Proverbs says, “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold” (Prov. 22:1).

Whatever the devil says, I know in my heart that my devotion to Christ, His mercies, and constantly being changed from glory to glory - have all steadily grown since He found me at nineteen years old.

Committed Life — Our commitment of reckless abandon to the cause of Christ is our conviction: that we are ready to suffer, be rejected, or be ostracized for Jesus. One is not prepared to live for Christ until he is willing to die for Him … and this is where life and confidence truly begin.

Prayer

Father, thank You for these insights. Help me to have a resolute heart … one that is all about You! Thank you for reminding me that the Kingdom’s doors open best, not with clever words or protests. They open best with the three keys of Revelation.
