Good morning! It’s Friday, May 23rd, 2025.
Some think in election cycles. Others in lifetimes.
Some dream in generations. A few plan for centuries—dynasties. But almost no one thinks in millennia.
Yet what if heaven is calling us to think even further?
Not just beyond our lifetime, but beyond time itself. Eternally. To trust not just for today… but for what we may never see. To believe in promises we won’t live long enough to hold. To have a faith with no expiration date.
Today's Reading:
2 Chronicles 6,7; Psalms 135; Romans 4
Scripture
“Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.”
(Romans 4:18, 21)
Observation
Abraham believed God for something he would never fully see in his lifetime. He didn’t just trust God with his present—or even with life after death. He trusted Him with what would come long after he was gone—thousands of years later.
This is a faith that grabs Heaven’s attention. Abraham was “fully persuaded”—not that he could make the promise happen, but that God could. That God had power, not just to start the story, but to finish it—even if Abraham wouldn’t be around to see the ending.
That’s faith with no expiration date.
Application
Do I trust God only with what I can see or influence?
Do I only trust Him with the things that will resolve in my lifetime?
Or do I have faith with no expiration date?
Faith that says:
- God, I may not see the fruit, but I’ll still plant the seed.
- I may not witness the harvest, but I’ll still sow in prayer.
- I may not be the answer, but I’ll still live like the promise is real.
I want that kind of faith. The kind that doesn’t demand closure. It doesn’t need confirmation—just conviction that God doesn’t forget what He promises, and time doesn’t wear down His Word.
I want a faith that has no expiration date.
Prayer
Lord, give me a faith that doesn’t quit when I can’t see results. Help me to trust You not just with the parts of my life I understand—but with the parts that will long outlive me. I want to live with no expiration date on my obedience, my prayers, or my hope.
If You’ve said it, You’ll do it. Even if I don’t get to see it—let me still believe it. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
