God Remembers

by Aaron Cordeiro on October 16, 2025

Good morning! Today is Thursday, October 16, 2025. We all tend to cherish loving and relational moments with those closest to us. We keep letters of encouragement, cards of celebration, and notes of appreciation because they remind us of what matters most. Did you know God does something similar with those who fear Him and honor His name? Let’s read on…

Today's Reading:
Malachi 3,4; Psalms 148; Acts 5

Scripture

“Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His name.  (Malachi 3:16)

Observation

God recognizes, hears, and remembers those who fear and honor Him. It’s the mark of a deep and growing relationship built on trust, love, and shared history. Naturally, we remember, speak well of, and show favor toward those we’re close to. Even in difficult seasons, we look for ways to help, protect, and restore those relationships.

In contrast, it’s hard to advocate for someone you don’t know—there’s no connection, no shared story. That’s why God’s remembrance of His people is so precious; it flows out of relationship.

Application

We live in a world where the contrast between righteousness and wickedness, light and darkness, is growing sharper. It’s becoming harder to stay neutral.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:12–13, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

So, keep walking closely with the Lord. Let your relationship with Him be one that He can “write down” — marked by reverence, love, and faithfulness. Let’s be memorable not just to our Creator, but to our closest Friend. Let’s stay faithful when others grow cold. The Lord keeps record not to count our failures, but to remember a healthy, growing, and loving relationship that He cherishes.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that You see, hear, and remember those who fear You. Keep my love from growing cold, and help me stand firm in my conviction and devotion to You. Amen.
