Good morning! It’s Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Before God ever said, “Let there be,” wisdom was already there—woven into the fabric of creation. It wasn’t something God found. It’s something He is. And the same wisdom is still available today. Whenever we need it, we find it’s already there.
Today's Reading:
Proverbs 7,8,9; Romans 9
Scripture
“The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His work, the first of His acts of old.” (Proverbs 8:22)
Observation
In the beginning… before the stars lit the sky, before oceans were poured into their basins, before time itself ticked its first second—wisdom was already there. It wasn’t invented. It didn’t evolve. It was with God from the start, because it’s part of who He is.
That’s why chasing after wisdom apart from God always leaves us empty. Wisdom isn’t just useful—it’s divine. And in Christ, that wisdom took on flesh. Colossians 2:3 tells us that in Jesus are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. So when I’m searching for wisdom, I don’t need to scramble for answers—I need more of Him.
Application
Wisdom was there in the beginning, and it’s still there—fully present in Jesus. That means before I ask the question… the answer is already found in Him.
Instead of rushing to solve it on my own, I’ll slow down and draw near. Not to a formula, but to the One who was with God in the beginning—the One who is wisdom.
Before I need direction.
Before I need solutions.
Before I need wisdom…
He’s already there.
So today, rather than asking, “What’s the smartest move?” I’ll ask, “Lord, what are You saying?”
Because wisdom isn’t a strategy—it’s the Savior.
Prayer
Jesus, You are the wisdom I need. You’ve always been there—from before creation to this very moment. Help me not to rush ahead, but to draw near. Shape my thoughts. Direct my steps. I don’t want to just be clever—I want to be close to You. That’s where wisdom lives. Amen.
