Middle School Ministry

NHW MIDDLE

Middle School at NHW is a place where faith and fun collide!

It’s a safe space to belong, grow in their faith, and make lasting friendships with other students.

NH MIDDLE SCHOOL AT NEW HOPE WEST!

STARTING IN JUNE, MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY WILL MOVE TO SUNDAY NIGHTS FROM 6-8PM!

Join us for a Summer Kickoff Event to begin this awesome new season on Sunday, June 14th from 6-8pm. All incoming middle school students are invited to join us for a time of games, giveaways, food, and friends!

Until then, our Middle School service happens every Sunday at 11:30 am in the Hunt Building. Check your student in from 11:15 am at the Student Center and pick up at the same location at 12:45pm.

What is Middle School Ministry like?

Students start by checking in and grabbing a snack before diving into games (think 9-square, ping-pong, Mario Cart, and more!) laughs, and time to connect with awesome leaders.

Then we head into our very own service—complete with high-energy, age-appropriate worship, a message from the Bible that speaks to what they’re facing today, and small groups where they can talk, ask questions, and discover how to live their faith boldly.

Meet Pastor Jazy Martinez

Jazy Martinez

Middle School Pastor

Hey! My name is Jazy, and I serve as the Middle School Pastor at New Hope West. I am truly honored and deeply passionate about discipleship and helping students build a faith that lasts; one that isn’t just for church, but for everyday life.

My heart is to see students truly know God, not just know about Him. I believe there’s nothing more important in life than knowing Him personally, and everything else flows from that place (John 15:4-5). Because of that, I care deeply about walking alongside students as they grow, ask questions, and learn what it means to follow Jesus with their whole lives.

This passion is personal for me. There was a time in my own life when my faith felt distant and more like something I knew about than something I truly lived. But through people who invested in me and pointed me back to Jesus, I began to experience what it really means to know Him. That journey changed everything. Jesus changed everything. This is why I care so deeply about helping others discover that same relationship.

I also have a strong passion for seeing people who feel far from God find a home in Jesus. I believe He is constantly pursuing people with love, and I want to spend my life pointing others to the One who loves them more than they could ever imagine.

Whether I’m teaching, having conversations, or just hanging out, my desire is simple: to help people take their next step with God and experience the life He’s calling them into.

Where and when is NHW Youth?

Our Middle and High School ministries meet on the campus of New Hope Church and College, located at 2155 Bailey Hill Road, Eugene, OR 97405.

Middle School ministry is for all students in 6th-8th grade and meets every Sunday during the 11:30 am service at the Hunt building.

High School ministry is for all students in 9th-12th grade and meets every Wednesday from 6-8 pm in the Rexius building.

What can my student expect at NHW Youth?

Students sign in upon arrival and start off with a time of relationship-building activities, games, and food. We then move into our service time, filled with worship, a relevant message, and small group discussion time where students can grow deeper in their relationship with God and one another.

What is the best way to connect my student with NHW Youth?

By attending a Youth service! Our amazing team is ready and excited to welcome your student. There is no need to register before attending a gathering. We will welcome your students and make sure they have an incredible time! We also have small groups that meet throughout the week for bible studies and daily devotions, so if your student is interested, we can get them more information about available groups.

Can I come to check out a service?

We are very intentional about who comes into our space for the safety of our students and leaders. Each team member and adult present in our space has to take a background check prior to serving. However, if someone from our Team is available, they would be happy to show you around. Please email us with any questions you may have at
