Good morning, family. Today is Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Being reverent and being scared are miles apart. Reverence means honoring God with trust and obedience—not cowering in fear. The psalmist reminds us that this kind of holy fear brings blessing, not just to us, but also to those we love. Let’s read on…
Today's Reading:
Ezekiel 40,41; Psalms 128; Revelation 21
Scripture
“Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to Him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord.” (Psalm 128:1–4)
Observation
The psalmist teaches us that when we walk in reverence and obedience to God, blessings follow. These blessings aren’t only material—they flow into our homes, families, and daily work. A life that honors God becomes like a river of blessing, overflowing into the lives of our spouses, children, and beyond. Reverence for God doesn’t just affect us personally—it shapes the atmosphere of our entire household. It’s as if God is saying, “When you honor Me, I will honor you.” True reverence sets a tone that ripples through generations, leaving a legacy of faith and blessing for those who come after us.
Application
Today, I want to live with reverence that shows in my choices, speech, and actions. This means honoring God in the way I work, how I interact with my family, and how I carry myself—even in the small things. When I choose honor over selfishness, I create space for God’s blessing to flow not only to me, but also to those around me.
Reverence is contagious—when others see us walking in respect for God, they are encouraged to do the same. My prayer is that my home would be known as a place where God’s presence is welcome and His goodness is evident.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for teaching me that blessings flow from a heart that reveres You. Teach me to walk in true reverence—not in fear—and help me live in a way that brings life and joy to my family. May my home and my work reflect Your goodness today. Fill the atmosphere of my home with Your peace, love, and favor. Let my children see the blessing that comes from walking in obedience to You, so they, too, may grow in reverence and pass it on. Amen.
