Good morning—today is July 24, 2025. I turned 45 last month, and for those of you in the 40+ club, maybe you’ll relate: recovering takes longer, “Huh? What was that?” happens way too often, and reading glasses are becoming my new best friend. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a magic pill to bring back strength, energy, and focus?
Actually—there is. But it’s not found in a bottle. Let’s look at what God says.
Today's Reading:
Isaiah 40,41,42; 1 Peter 3
Scripture
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:29–31 NIV)
Observation
We all hit limits—physically, emotionally, spiritually. Even the young and fit eventually wear down. But God promises supernatural renewal to those who hope in Him.
That word hope isn’t just wishful thinking—it means to wait on, to trust, even to bind yourself to Him.
Think of it like strapping into a rocket—not relying on your own strength, but being lifted by a greater force. God doesn’t just give you a boost; He becomes your strength.
Application
When I feel like I’m running on fumes, my insecurities rise up. I feel the pressure to make things happen, fix the problem, take control. I start grinding harder—mentally, emotionally, even spiritually.
But Isaiah reminds me: it’s not about trying harder; it’s about trusting deeper.
When I struggle with questions, frustrations, and exhaustion, I want to remember to bring it to God. Instead of trying to fix, control, or hustle harder, I want to ask: “God, what are You doing here? What do You want me to see or learn?” I want to realign my heart to His Word rather than defaulting to the world’s advice or my own understanding.
God doesn’t expect us to power through on our own. He invites us to lean in, to wait on Him, to bind ourselves to His strength—like a rocket ready for lift-off.
So today, I’m choosing to stop striving and start soaring—by hoping in Him.
Prayer
Lord, thank You that You never grow tired or weary. When I’m exhausted, You are still strong. Help me to hope in You—not just in theory, but in practice. Help me let go of my own strength and lean fully into Yours. Amen.
