Good morning! It is Monday, March 10, 2025. How do we please the Father? I wonder that sometimes. It has to be more than just trying to measure up—I often fail! One thing I do know is the importance of keeping an open and close relationship with Him. I must never let what I don’t understand create distance, nor can I allow hurt feelings to turn into grudges—that only ruins my spirit. What pleases the Father? Read on…
Today's Reading:
Deuteronomy 13,14,15; Galatians 1
Scripture
“But when He who had set me apart, even from my mother’s womb, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles …” (Galatians 1:15-16)
Observation
It is the Father who reveals Jesus to me. This tells me that to truly know Jesus, we must ask for revelation! It won’t come through education, exposure, or mere classroom instruction.
Solomon tried and failed. Many religious leaders did too—until they realized that you can never please God head first. Knowing Jesus and who He is comes only when the Father is pleased with us and, through revelation, shows us Jesus!
Anyone can forget what they’ve been taught. You can choose to ignore instruction, but you can’t shake revelation! When God reveals something to you, it explodes in your spirit. You are changed into a new person. You will never be the same.
Application
Knowing Jesus is a choice the Father makes, and when I please Him, He reveals Jesus! So how do I please Him?
When Jesus came up from the waters of baptism, the heavens opened, and the Father spoke: “This is My Son, in whom I am well pleased!”
The Father’s pleasure wasn’t based on any of Jesus’ miracles—He hadn’t even begun His ministry yet! It had nothing to do with skill or accomplishments. It was solely about the pure and simple relationship He had with the Father.
That must always be my primary heart and goal!
Prayer
Lord God, be pleased to reveal Jesus in me. Whatever I must do, whatever price I must pay, I willingly say, “Yes!”—a resounding “Yes!” My heart is set on a pure and simple in my relationship with You. No pretense. No cutting corners. No excuses. Only a heart steadfast in serving You and Your purposes.
