Good morning. Today is Thursday, November 7, 2024. We are entering a new season with a leadership change in our country. The election results reveal the vast number who supported this shift; however, our hope and anchor remain steadfast in what will never change. Read on...
Today's Reading:
Job 31,32; Galatians 5,6
Scripture
“But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Galatians 6:14)
Observation
I am always drawn back to Scriptural irreducibles—those distilled truths that are foundational. Jesus highlights this in Luke 10. The disciples were sent out two by two and returned, excitedly boasting about the success of their ministry. Jesus quickly reminded them: “Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20).
Irreducible.
Application
Here’s another irreducible: For some, the election felt like a "win," and for others, perhaps a "loss." Yet for all who follow Jesus, the most important "win-loss" report is this: Jesus is still winning the lost through the Gospel, and we have the privilege of being on the front lines of this mission!
Irreducible.
I believe God has granted us a new season of favor; therefore, we must boldly advance the Gospel as never before. I am personally thrilled about this new leadership change and see it as God’s invitation to return to the irreducibles. If we respond with a wholehearted "yes," we will not only find our way forward but be propelled like never before!
Prayer
Lord Jesus, it is what You have done—and what You are doing to redeem the lost—that thrills me the most!
